One person builds and answers this, so replies take a day or two rather than minutes. If you are reporting a problem, the two things that help most are your iOS version and what you were doing when it happened.

Common questions

Does my run save if I close the app?

Yes. Cauldron writes your run to your device whenever it changes, so leaving mid-trial — even force-quitting, even a restart — brings you back to the same floor with the same board and the same recipes. Choose Continue on the title screen.

What happens when a run ends?

Finishing the trial or running out of stirs closes that run out: anything you unlocked is folded into your collection, and the run's own save is discarded. Your next run starts fresh, with the wider set of ingredients and starting kits you have earned. That widening is the long game — the collection screen shows what is still out there.

Can I turn the haptics off?

Yes — Settings on the title screen, one toggle. It takes effect immediately and is remembered. If you have iOS's system-wide vibration turned off, or your phone is in a mode that suppresses it, you will feel nothing regardless of this switch.

Does my progress sync between my iPhone and iPad?

No. Cauldron stores everything locally and has no networking of any kind, so there is nothing to sync with. Each device keeps its own collection. (Cauldron is also an iPhone app rather than a universal one — it runs on iPad in iPhone compatibility mode.)

I deleted the app. Can I get my unlocks back?

Only from your own device backup. Deleting the app deletes its files, and because there is no server, the developer holds no copy to restore. If you restore your iPhone from an iCloud or Finder backup made before the deletion, the app's files come back with it.

Is there anything to buy inside the game?

No. Cauldron is a single one-time purchase with no in-app purchases, no subscription, no currency, and nothing randomized for sale. Everything unlockable is earned by playing.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled entirely by Apple, not by the developer — nobody here can see or process a payment. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and choose Cauldron. Do email if something in the game itself is broken, though: a bug I can fix is more useful to both of us than a refund.

Does the game need an internet connection?

Never. Cauldron plays identically in Airplane Mode. See the privacy policy for why that is a structural fact about the app rather than a setting.

Something looks wrong at a large text size.

Cauldron follows your Dynamic Type setting, and the layout is checked at the largest sizes — but if something is clipped or overlapping on your device, that is a bug worth an email. Tell me your text size (Settings › Display & Brightness › Text Size, or Accessibility if you use the larger range) and a screenshot if you can.

How do I report a bug or ask for a feature?

Email is the whole system: app.contact.support@gmail.com. There is no forum, no tracker, and no Discord to join.

Requesting your data, or asking for it to be deleted. There is nothing to request and nothing to delete — no account exists, and no copy of your play data is held anywhere but your own device. Deleting the app is a complete erasure. The privacy policy sets out the full inventory.
